Maravanthe Beach

Maravanthe Beach is situated 50 kms from Udupi in Kundapur Town. It is a picturesque locale in the Konkan coast. It has a spectacular view with the Arabian Sea roaring on the West and the picturesque Kodachadri Hills forming a backdrop to the Sowparnika river on the East. The most signified feature of this virgin beach is the golden sunset bestowing a splendid feeling and the aquatic turtles. Thus the endless sand of golden sand, palm trees, blue sky and the flow of the sea attracts a number of tourists to this picturesque beach. It is on the way from Murudeshwar to Bhatkal.

This beach looks like a fairyland at sunset when the sky turns crimson and the golden rays of the Sun are reflected in the sea as well as the river.  

The endless stretch of golden sand, swaying palm trees, clear blue sky and the flow of the sea attract a large number of tourists to this spot.

a. Baindur, a hamlet 45 kms away, is a beautiful beach.
b. Ottinane and Belaka Theertha Falls near Baindur. 

Driving some kilometers further you can see Belaka Theertha Falls.

The best time to visit this Beach is from August to March.

The Stopover Hotel will be a good option to visit Kollur Mookambika Temple also which is a great Hindu pilgrimage centre in South India.
