Benefits of Yoga for Kids: Today's children are facing a lot of stress-related problems when compared to earlier days. The stress is caused by way of coping with their homework, peer pressure,class tests, family pressure etc. Many parents talk about their children suffering from stress and some of them are eager to send their kids for learning yoga. They are aware that their kids can get benefited from learning and practising yoga on a regular basis. Even in some schools, yoga class is conducted for kids.
If their stress is not taken care of at the right time, they may face disturbances in sleeping, eating, concentrating on studies etc. Yoga is a tool that can follow into adulthood with, a good foundation.
How to help the kids with stress?
Relaxation, without affecting their studies, is the only remedy for this. Through yoga they can achieve the required relaxation.
Some of the poses children would love doing are boat pose, bridge pose, cat pose, cobra pose, child pose, stand tall in mountain pose, downward facing dog pose, kneeling, knees to chest, lotus pose, tree pose, triangle pose, upward facing dog pose, warrior pose, etc.
Because of the above mentioned reasons, to get the benefits of yoga for kids, they should be encouraged to practise yoga as young as possible by the parents and elders at home. For this purpose, if schools also make it compulsory to have a period for yoga teaching and practising, the children get highly benefited from it so that they adapt yoga as a way of life.
If yoga is practised at an early age on a regular basis, they can maintain a healthy body and mind, so that they won't face various ailments and problems in their growing up years. Yoga also helps them to keep a cool mind which will be very necessary for their present and future life.
