India is the birthplace of many religions and spiritual leaders. Indian spirituality has drawn many people from all around the world to this mystic land.

Adi Shankaracharya born in around 788 AD, Sant Kabir born in 1398 AD, Sri Guru Nanak Dev born in 1469, Ramakrishna Paramahamsa born in 1836,Swami Vivekananda born in 1863, and Sri Aurobindo born in 1872 were some of them who have contributed to a large extend to the world spirituality. Mother Theresa, who wasborn in 1910 came to India and founded the Missionaries of Charity in Calcutta, to serve the poor and the needy, was yet another great personality.

The southern region of India is also blessed with many spiritual leaders. Some of the living gurus who are born in the southern region of India are -
