Kunnukara, My Favorite Village

by Preetha
(Bangalore)

Kunnukara is my favorite village, where my father was born and brought up. I have visited Kunnukara several times with my family.

Kunnukara is a census town and panchayat in Paravur Taluk in Ernakulam district, Kerala, India. The village is situated in the Airport road connecting North Paravur and Nedumbassery.

North Paravur is the nearest town and 7 km away from this village. There are frequent bus services plying through this village connecting Angamaly with North Paravur through Manjaly , Athani in NH 47. Kunnukara is the main centre of this village.

There are no tourist places in our Village, but Cochin, (Kochi) a well known tourist place, is not far away.

When we go to our village, we do visit the interesting places occasionally.

I love my little village and the people there. Though I stay many miles away in another city, I always remember my green village and the wonderful days I have spent there.
