Calangute Beach

Calangute Beach lies just nine miles north of the capital city Panaji, and is called as Queen of Beaches. It is about 4 miles in length and covered with palm trees. Calangute Beach

It is a pristine beach with golden sand. Earlier this beach was a hippy hangouts, but now it is a great vacation spot for many tourists. Many tourists and locals spend their time by bathing in the quiet solitude of the sea, sun and sand on this lovely beach.

Reaching There

By Air: The nearest airport is Dabolim, 29 km away from Panjim which is connected to major Indian cities through a number of regular flights. Look for Cheap Air tickets to Goa.

By Rail: The nearest railway station is Karmali, 11 km away from Panjim.

By Road: Local buses operate regularly. 10 minutes from Mapusa and 30 minutes from Panaji.
