Bheemunipatnam Beach
Bheemunipatnam Beach is the most attractive feature of Bheemunipatnam in Andhra Pradesh. Since the water is shallow it is also considered to be one of the safest beaches in the State for swimmers and surfers.
It is also best for sunbathing. This beach has got one of the finest sea resorts of India, known as Bheemli.
This beach is located at the confluence of the Gosthani River and the Bay of Bengal. The beach town is just 25 km north of Visakhapatnam, (popularly known as Vizag). One of the roads all along the shoreline, provides breathtaking views at many spots.

Nearer the sea and facing the flagstaff is a well-equipped round bungalow, which is said to be the Vizianagaram Raja's resort. The view of the seascape from the verandah of the bungalow is captivating. This place was a significant port in olden days.
It has a lighthouse and it is a minor port though it is seldom used now.
It is also the site of the ruins of the east coast's oldest Dutch settlement (17th century).
A little way inland from here you can see Hollanders Green, which is a Dutch cemetery, overlooking the ocean.
